DFS Lab IDEI – Questionnaire
Motivation:
Create a household survey instrument that captures readiness, digital earning, broader participation, and risks in a cross‑country comparable way.
Methods:
The module was based on the four IDEI domains, with harmonized response options and clear definitions designed for insertion into large, nationally representative surveys and supported by planned cognitive testing across diverse contexts. The instrument was field tested with cognitive interviews in four countries (India, Indonesia, Kenya, and Nigeria).
Results:
A finalized set of survey questions and structure that enables implementers to generate people‑level insights on digital livelihoods and barriers, ready to be adapted to country or regional deployments.
